Australia Day Awards

The Lions Club of Glenroy recognises and awards recipients from different categories each year. This year on the 26th January, awards were given to those in the Community for their Volunteering efforts. Below are a few who received awards

Lions Drought Relief

We finally disbursed the funds raised from the Fundraiser below, through the Rural Financial Counselling Service Victoria - Gippsland who will distribute funding by way of food and fuel gift cards through their emergency account.
By way of a Christmas present, the ‘Pamper Packs’ were delivered to Gippsland Farmer Relief on the 20th of December who will distribute these much-needed necessities to needy families.

Lions Drought Relief Fundraiser

November saw the Lions Club of Glenroy Members, friends and community members, band together to raise much needed funds for Drought Relief. A wonderful night was held at the Glenroy RSL and with their assistance and the many donations received for the nights Silent Auctions and Raffle, everyone enjoyed the music supplied by the RSL's band, Chuck Charles.. 

 

 

 

 

Funds from the night are currently being distributed along with the 50 toiletry Pamper Packs, made and supplied by Melbourne University Finance and Employee Services and presented on the night on their behalf, by Robyn Gilliland

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket in our Trailer Raffle with all money raised to be spent in the Community
